Deleting Apps - Click and hold on app until they all dance around. You will then have the option to click the x to delete or move the icon to other pages and locations. With 4.2 you can temporarily disallow Deleting Apps if students accidentally delete - just go into Settings, General and turn off deleting apps.

Creating Narrated Books
Using Keynote on your MAC, create pages by inserting pictures of your book pages.
Narrate the pages into individual sound files using garage band. Save your sound files. When you close out of garage band you will be asked if you want to save your project with iLife preview. Say YES.
in Keynote, use the media option to insert sound onto your page. Select the sound file that corresponds with each page.
Email the finished keynote file to yourself and open it on your iPad. You will be asked if you want to open with Keynote. Say yes and wala! you have a narrated book on your iPad.
